Tata Sky becomes Tata Play to provide OTT services

Tata Play Netflix combo packs will cost Rs 399 per month starting January 27.

Tata Sky, India's leading DTH provider, announced today that it will drop the 'Sky' from its brand name after 18 years and rebrand as 'Tata Play.'

Netflix and 13 other OTT services, including Amazon Prime and Disney+Hotstar, have been added to the DTH platform's ‘Binge' package.

According to Harit Nagpal, MD, and CEO of Tata Play, the company began as a DTH provider and has since evolved into a content distributor.

He went on to say that the company wanted to create a platform that gave customers a unified experience.
