Vivo V23 Series is set to launch in India, and it’s expected to feature dual selfie cameras with a resolution of 50 Megapixels

Vivo has confirmed the launch of the V23 series in India with a small teaser. With 50-megapixel dual selfie cameras, the smartphone lineup is expected to debut in January. While the Chinese tech giant hasn’t revealed which phones will be included in the V23 series, it appears that at least two models will be available. The Vivo V23 series of smartphones has been spotted on a number of certification and benchmarking websites, revealing details about their specifications and design.

A small clip (via Twitter) from GSMArena shows a smartphone from Vivo’s V23 series in “Sunshine Gold” colour with a “ultra slim 3D curved display,” according to the report. We can see two Vivo phones at the end of the video: one with a curved screen, and another with an Apple iPhone 13 Pro-like spine, revealing its triple rear camera setup, which includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor. The video, which was reportedly aired during a Kabaddi match, mentions that the Vivo V23 series is “Coming Soon” without providing a launch date.

According to previous reports, the Vivo V23 series of smartphones will debut in India in early January with a 64-megapixel primary sensor. In the video, the 64-megapixel claim is confirmed. In terms of specifications, the Vivo V23 Pro was spotted on Geekbench, indicating that it will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC and 8GB of RAM.

The Vivo V23 and Vivo V23 Pro smartphones could be available in the upcoming series. According to the information available, the Vivo V23 series of smartphones could be rebranded versions of the Vivo S12 and Vivo S12 Pro handsets that were recently released in China. Vivo V23 smartphones and Vivo S12 handsets have a similar design, as shown in the video. According to Geekbench, the Vivo S12 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC with 8GB of RAM, which is similar to the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC found in the Vivo V23 Pro.

In terms of the camera, the Vivo S12 Pro has a dual front camera setup with a 50-megapixel sensor at the centre. The Vivo S12 series, on the other hand, has a 108-megapixel primary sensor on the back camera, whereas the Vivo V23 series will most likely have a 64-megapixel camera.
