On Friday, JugJugg Jeeyo, starring Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Kiara Advani, had a respectable opening weekend.
On the first day, it earned approximately 8.50 billion. The film, directed by Raj Mehta, is about complicated relationships and is filled with songs and drama.
JugJugg Jeeyo’s opening day earnings were lower than those of Samrat Prithviraj and Gangubai Kathiawadi, which grossed approximately 10.50 crore.
According to Boxofficeindia.com, JugJugg Jeeyo had a first-day gross of approximately 8.50 crore net on the strength of its performance in the Delhi-NCR region and fair business in the other metros. The report subsequently cited:
“The film is not on par with Gangubai Kathiawadi or Samrat Prithviraj, which require a wider audience, so if only the major cities embrace it, then it would be a success, as it is not on that level.”
The Hindustan Times film review described the film as “”entertaining” should read: “JugJugg Jeeyo is an amazing family entertainment that discusses choosing relationships above selfishness without being preachy.
JugJugg Jeeyo is a clean comedy drama since there are no offensive jokes or slapstick humor used to induce laughter. It is one of those usual commercial thrillers known as paisa vasool, and should be viewed on the big screen.”
Also featured in the film are Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli. In an interview with PTI, Raj Mehta stated that the lackluster performance of Hindi films has “added to the anxiety” around the premiere of his picture. In addition, he stated, “There are fresh theories about what types of films will succeed or fail every week.
Some claim the trend is toward large-scale films, while others disagree. There is a great deal of ambiguity; I do not believe anyone knows what will work. Does this increase the anxiety? Absolutely.”
