The price of a TVS motorcycle starts at Rs. 43,350. In India, TVS offers 17 new models, with the Raider 125, Apache RTR 160 4V, and Ntorq 125 being the most popular. Zeppelin and Creon are two of TVS’s upcoming motorcycles. The Apache RR310 is the most expensive TVS bike, costing Rs. 2,64,902.

T. V. Sundaram Iyengar founded T. V. Sundaram Iyengar. He was born in 1877 in Thirukkurungudi, Madras Presidency, British India, in the Tirunelveli district. In 1911, he started Madurai’s first bus service and later established T.V.Sundaram Iyengar and Sons Limited, a transportation company with a large fleet of trucks and buses known as Southern Roadways Limited.

When he died in 1955, his sons carried on the business with several ventures into the automobile industry, including finance, insurance, and the production of two-wheelers, tyres, and components.

In 1978, the south Indian company established a plant in Hosur to produce mopeds as part of their new division. The TVS 50, India’s first two-seater moped, rolled out of the Hosur factory in Tamil Nadu in 1980.

Soon after, TVS and Suzuki formed a 19-year partnership aimed at transferring technology in order to design and manufacture two-wheelers specifically for the Indian market. The company was renamed TVS-Suzuki and released several models, including the Suzuki Samurai, Suzuki Shogun, and Suzuki Fiero. After splitting from Suzuki in 2001, the company was renamed TVS Motor.

TVS Racing became the first Indian factory team to compete in the Dakar rally in early 2015, which is one of the world’s longest and most dangerous rallies. For the Dakar rally, TVS Racing teamed up with Sherco, a French motorcycle manufacturer, and named the team Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team.

The company has four manufacturing plants, three in India (Hosur, Tamil Nadu; Mysore, Karnataka; and Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh) and one in Indonesia (Hosur, Tamil Nadu, Mysore, Karnataka, and Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh) (Karawang).
