Talking about the engine of the Hilux, it gets a 2.8-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine, which produces 201 Bhp power and 420 Nm peak torque. This SUV truck comes with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox. All models of the Hilux come with 4×4 drive capability.

Toyota Hilux gets cheaper

The ex-showroom price of the SUV truck now starts from Rs.30.40 lakhs. Toyota Hilux was launched in India last year with a starting price of Rs.33.99 Lakh. This means the Hilux has now become cheaper by Rs 3.6 lakh. However, the price drop has been made only on the base variant, while the top-spec higher variants have been hiked.

The Toyota Hilux High manual has now become costlier by Rs 1.35 lakh and now costs Rs 37.15 lakh, while the Hilux High AT has increased by Rs 1.10 lakh and can be bought for Rs 37.90 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. Bookings for the second batch of Hilux opened in India earlier this year at the old prices.
