This Yamaha bike launched in 2023: Yamaha Crosser 150cc

The updated Yamaha Crosser 150 has a starting price of Rs 16,590. (approx. INR 2,69,477)

Within months of its international debut, Yamaha has updated the Crosser 150 for the year 2023. The entry-level adventure bike made its debut in late 2021 and was quickly put on the market in Brazil. In the Brazilian market, the Japanese brand has released an updated version of the Crosser 150 with some new features.

While the bike’s design hasn’t changed much, Yamaha has introduced some new colour schemes and body graphics for the 2023 Crosser 150. In the entry-level ADV segment, the Crosser 150 competes with the Honda CB150X.

Yamaha Crosser 150cc 2023 – Design

Crosser 150 has signature ADV styling elements like a tall stance, a beak-like structure up front, and a rugged appearance with minimalistic body panels. It also has a small front flyscreen, which is a slight departure from modern ADVs.

A side-mounted high-slung exhaust, fuel tank extensions with air scoops, and arrowhead-shaped rear view mirrors are among the other visual highlights. The updated 2023 Crosser 150 is available in two variants, S and Z, just like the previous version.

The former is designed in an urban style, with a low front fender that is close to the tyre and a matte black engine. With higher fender and fork gaiters, the Z variant is more geared toward off-road adventures. Red, blue, black, and cream are the four colour options for the 2023 Crosser 150.

Added New Features

In order to make Crosser a more practical offering, Yamaha has added a few key features. It gets a new single-pod LED headlamp cluster that replaces the previous halogen unit. The semi-digital instrument console has been replaced with a fully digital unit with a blue background, which makes it easy to read both during the day and at night.

Furthermore, this console now has Bluetooth connectivity. The instrument panel also features a new Eco function that indicates when consumption is at its lowest, allowing you to drive more economically. A 12V power socket, which can be used to charge phones and other devices, is another notable addition.

Hardware and Powertrain Specifications

Because the Crosser 150 shares the same platform as the FZ Fi, it gets the same 149cc air-cooled single-cylinder SOHC engine. This engine produces 12.2 bhp at 7500 rpm and 12.74 Nm at 6000 rpm while mated to a 5-speed transmission. The most intriguing aspect of this engine is that it can run on gasoline, ethanol, or both, increasing fuel efficiency.

When it comes to suspension, the 2023 Yamaha Crosser 150cc Adventure has simple telescopic forks (180mm travel) up front and a mono-shock (160mm travel) at the back. It is nimble, with a kerb weight of 137 kilogrammes, but its 845mm seat height may be inaccessible to many short riders. Each wheel has a single disc brake, which is assisted by a single-channel ABS.
