In India, the car manufacturer Skoda has introduced one of its powerful SUVs. This SUV comes with powerful engine and luxury features. Actually, the company has introduced its Skoda Kodiaq (2023 Skoda Kodiaq) in a new avatar. Its initial price has been kept at Rs 37.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Skoda Kodiaq SUV is now BS6 Phase 2 compliant and is offered in three trim levels as before. Furthermore, the company has increased the India allotment of the Kodiaq to 3,000 units for 2023, as against 1,200 units last year, all of which were booked in the first 24 hours. Let me tell you that its direct competition remains with MG Gloster, Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas G4, and Jeep Meridian.

2023 Skoda Kodiaq Engine

Talking about the engine of Skoda Kodiaq, the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine is available in Skoda Kodiaq. Although now this engine is 4.2 percent fuel efficient than before. It generates 190bhp and 320Nm of torque and is mated to a 7-speed DSG. The SUV is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.8 seconds. Along with this, it comes with Dynamic Chassis Control which can raise or lower the car up to 15mm.

2023 Skoda Kodiaq Features

Talking about the features on the Skoda Kodiaq, the Skoda Kodiaq 2023 now comes with door-edge protectors that automatically deploy when the doors are opened. Along with this, the rear spoiler has been tweaked with extra finlets. The rear seat comfort quotient has been enhanced with a new lounge step. In addition, the flagship L&K trim gets Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and a 360-degree camera.

It retains the same 8.0-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and comes with a Canton 12-speaker audio system in the top-spec Laurin & Klement (L&K) trim. The Style entry trim gets an 8-inch instrument cluster while the higher trims get a larger 10.25-inch instrument display. The Skoda Kodiaq comes with 9 airbags as standard to top the 5-star Euro NCAP crash safety rating. Other features include stability control, multi-collision braking and park assist with hands-free parking.
