Toyota has issued a statement acknowledging that the wait for its flagship SUV has now reached four years.

Last year, Toyota unveiled the new and improved Land Cruiser LC300. The new model is a significant improvement over its predecessor. While there were early reports that a chip shortage was causing delays in the car’s production, some customers may have to wait up to four years.

Now, the company has issued an official statement acknowledging that the wait time for its flagship SUV has increased to four years.

According to a statement on the company’s Japanese website, “Thank you so much for taking the time to consider and order one of our vehicles.

In Japan and around the world, the Land Cruiser has been well received. We regret that delivering the Land Cruiser to you after you place an order will take a long time. Please accept our sincere apologies. If you place an order right now, it could take up to four years to arrive. We will do everything possible to reduce the time it takes for our customers to receive their orders.”

As a result of the reduced production, the company is now likely to postpone plans to launch the model in some international markets, including India. While the SUV was previously expected to arrive in India in Q3 2022, the launch may now be postponed. Needless to say, the ongoing semiconductor crisis is to blame for this delay. The latest Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 is loaded with the latest features and advanced technology, and the company relies on semiconductor chips to manufacture the vehicle successfully.

There’s a new 3.0 litre engine under the hood.

The previous 5.7-litre V8 engine has been replaced by a 5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 oil-burner. The new model has a peak torque of 650 Nm and a power output of 403 bhp. For the record, the new figures are 30 horsepower and 108 Nm higher than the previous model. A 10-speed torque converter automatic gearbox is mated to the engine.
