Shark Tank India has been generating quite a buzz on social media since its debut. To commemorate the show’s success and reveal the’sharks’s candid side, Sony TV invited them to appear on The Kapil Sharma Show. The latest promo teases what’s in store for the upcoming weekend episode.
Kapil Sharma begins by reading out the combined net worth of these celebrity business owners. He also expresses gratitude to them for boosting India’s GDP. He then goes after Anupam Mittal, questioning whether he founded ‘Sagai.com’ prior to establishing Shaadi.com. As the entrepreneur attempts to respond amid giggles, Aman Gupta (Boat) informs the entrepreneur that Anupam is already planning to launch ‘Dubara Shaadi.com’. Ashneer Grover (BharatPe) defends his co-sharks by making a hilarious dig at Kapil Sharma and his ‘two lockdown babies’.
“Pehla lockdown hua toh aapka ek baby hua, dusre mein ek aur,” he tells Kapil. Referring to the T-shirt he is wearing, Ashneer continues, “Yeh off aapki wife ne yaha lagaya hai ya nasbandi kendre wale laga ke chala gaye.” Kapil is embarrassed by his remark, but he retorts by pretending to call Sony TV and informing them that their’serious banda’ is now fine.
The team pulls Peeyush Bansal’s leg for securing Katrina Kaif as his first brand ambassador. Kapil jokes about whether it was his ‘professional or personal strategy’ that convinced her to join. As he continues to inquire whether Peeyush was unaware of Vicky Kaushal, Ashneer steps in to explain that Katrina only saw a clear vision of her future with Vicky after wearing the brand’s lenses.
Kiku Sharda also joins the stage and serves Aman Gupta with a legal notice. He claims he submerged the earphones of his brand in water, but they sank. As Kapil predicts that it will sink, Kiku responds, “Fir kaahe ka boat (How did he name his brand Boat)?” All sharks are taken aback by the remark.
Ghazal Alagh (Mamaearth), Vineeta Singh (Sugar), and Namita Thapar (EmCure) also receive a dose of Kapil and his team’s amusing comments. The episode is set to feature some rib-tickling moments, from reading funny comments from their Instagram pages to pulling their leg over their show statements.
Shark Tank India, a remake of the popular American entrepreneurial reality show, premiered last year on Sony TV. The show, hosted by Rannvijay Singh, features aspiring entrepreneurs pitching their businesses to a panel of investors dubbed’sharks,’ who then decide whether or not to invest in the business.
