Design and Variant Details for The Mercedes-Benz C-Class in 2022

Shorter overhangs, a more angular front end, and new headlamp and tail lamp designs distinguish the new W206 C-Class from its stablemates, the A-Class, E-Class, and S-Class. In terms of dimensions, the new C-Class has a 25mm longer wheelbase (2,865mm) and a 65mm longer overall length. The car is also 10mm wider.

While the C-external Class’s proportions remain unchanged, Mercedes has given the new C-Class an entirely new exterior and interior design. The hood features prominent ‘power bulges,’ a revised glasshouse that has been moved slightly back to give it a cab-rearwards design, and creases and character lines have been kept to a minimum, primarily to highlight the prominent shoulder line.

Interior and Features of The Mercedes-Benz C-Class in 2022

The C-Class is heavily influenced by the S-Class on the inside, as evidenced by the portrait-oriented, tablet-style 11.9-inch central touchscreen. It is equipped with Mercedes’ second-generation MBUX infotainment software, which includes connected car technology and a voice assistant. To access personalised data and media, it also has biometric authentication via fingerprint or voice.

For ease of use and visibility while driving, the screen is angled slightly towards the driver. A new multi-spoke steering wheel and a high-definition floating LCD digital instrument display are also similar to those found on the new S-Class.

The C-class features unique jet engine-inspired air vents, as well as the removal of the gear shifter and rotary dial, giving the center console a very minimalist and clean appearance. Touch-sensitive pads on the steering wheel now control the majority of infotainment functions.
