The International Centre for Research on Tuberculosis (ICMR) is conducting studies to investigate the efficacy and safety of two tuberculosis vaccines

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is launching a multicenter trial to evaluate the efficiency and safety of two tuberculosis (TB) vaccines, vpm1002 and Immuvac, in an effort to eradicate tuberculosis, according to IMCR-NARI Scientist Dr Suchit Vasant Kamble on April 1. “Currently, ICMR headquarters is undertaking a multicentral trial to examine the efficacy and safety of two tuberculosis (TB) vaccines, vpm1002 and Immuvac,” he told ANI.

This is done at 18 distinct locations across six different states in India.” “Trials are being conducted in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Telangana, and Odisha.” The final enrolment at our site will be in February 2024, and we will receive the final results thereafter. “The individuals in the studies are 6 years and older,” Dr. Kamble noted.
