The Harley-Davidson S2 Del Mar LE Electric Motorcycle has been Revealed
In the United States, the S2 Del Mar Launch Edition is limited to 100 units and has already sold out.
In the United States, Harley-electric Davidson’s vehicle division, LiveWire, has unveiled the new S2 Del Mar LE electric motorcycle. The S2 Del Mar LE – LE stands for Launch Edition – is significantly smaller, lighter, and less expensive than the LiveWire One, which costs $22,799 (roughly Rs 13.67 lakh) (approximately Rs 17.61 lakh). However, Harley-Davidson has no plans to introduce the S2 Del Mar in India at this time.

Features and Claimed Performance of The S2 Del Mar LE
The S2 Del Mar LE is the first vehicle to feature the company’s new S2 Arrow architecture. The electric motor, battery pack, and electronics systems are all combined into one unit, which then serves as the chassis. Because the Arrow architecture is modular, it will be used by LiveWire to develop a variety of electric vehicles in the future. The S2 takes 44 percent less time to build than the LiveWire One, according to LiveWire.

While LiveWire hasn’t revealed all of the details, it claims that the S2 Del Mar has a “targeted power” of 80 horsepower and can sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.5 seconds. Both the Launch Edition and the production versions that will follow will have the same performance. In addition, the bike will receive Over the Air (OTA) updates over time.

The battery range of the Del Mar in the city is expected to be 100 miles or 160 kilometers. The time it takes to fully charge the battery has yet to be released by LiveWire, but the S2 Del Mar has L1 and L2 charging capabilities, according to the company.
Design and Launch Edition Specialties at S2 Del Mar LE
The S2 Del Mar LE is described by Harley-Davidson as an Urban Street Tracker, a hybrid of urban and flat tracking motorcycle styles.

A rectangular LED headlight, a flyscreen above it, and a fuel-tank shaped panel that sits above the battery and motor unit are all part of the design.
The Jasper Grey and Comet Indigo graphics and paint schemes are exclusive to the Launch Edition S2 Del Mar. The paint is applied by hand, and the process takes five days, according to the company. The Launch Edition models also come with special PCB cast alloy wheels that are neatly executed and resemble a spoke wheel design.

The tracker-style handlebar, raised footpegs, and wide and flat seat all suggest an upright riding position.
S2 Del Mar LE: Chassis
The electric motor and battery pack, as previously stated, are the main components of the chassis. In fact, the rear monoshock is bolted directly to the engine. The bike also features an asymmetric swingarm, a USD fork, a single disc at the front with radially mounted Brembo calipers, and 19-inch wheels on both ends with specially developed Dunlop DT1 tyres.
The company claims that the motorcycle will weigh no more than 435 pounds (197 kilograms).
S2 Del Mar LE is Now Available
As previously stated, there has been no word on an S2 Del Mar launch in India. The bike will be available in the United States starting in 2023, and according to the company’s website, all 100 units of the LiveWire S2 Del Mar LE have already been sold. The regular S2 Del Mar’s, on the other hand, is available in the United States and costs $15,000. (Rs 11.60 lakh).
