The Storm 125 disc brake variant was introduced in 2020 with the BS6 update, but it did not have ABS at the time. The rest of the mechanical components are identical to those found on the drum brake version. To recap, the scooter is powered by a 125cc engine with 9.92hp and 9.7Nm and a CVT transmission.

The chassis is identical to the Aprilia SR 125, but it rides on 12-inch wheels with chunky Vee Rubber tyres.
