The new Pulsar is strikingly similar to the Pulsar N250.
A new motorcycle has been spotted being tested by Bajaj Auto, and it’s possible that it’s the new Pulsar N160. More details can be seen in new images of the test bike, which are barely camouflaged.
The design, for starters, is heavily influenced by the Pulsar N250. The new bike has a projector light, LED daytime running lamps, and a cowl similar to the old one. In addition, the fuel tank, tank extensions, and tail section appear to be identical. We had also noticed that the tail-light is the same as the N250 in a previous spy shot. Even the wheels and the box-section swingarm appear to be from a Pulsar N250.
Moving on, the test bike we saw had an air-cooled engine with an exhaust system hidden beneath the seat. However, it is unknown whether or not the engine has an oil cooler. Closer inspection reveals that the engine casings are not identical to those found on the current NS160. It’s possible that Bajaj has tweaked the current NS160’s oil-cooled engine or developed a new engine in the 160cc range.
In any case, when the bike goes on sale in a few weeks, it’ll only be a matter of time before all the details are revealed.
If the new bike is the Pulsar N160, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Yamaha FZ will be its main competitors.
