In India, the Suzuki Burgman Street Electric is expected to debut in April 2022, with a price range of 110,000 to 120,000. OLA S1, TVS iQube, and Aprilia SR 125 are currently available bikes that are similar to Burgman Street Electric. Another bike that is similar to the Burgman Street Electric is the Honda PCX 125, which will be released in India in April 2022.
Suzuki is preparing an electric version of its existing Burgman Street 125 petrol-powered scooter to enter the Indian electric two-wheeler market. It has been spotted a few times so far, revealing some details ahead of its official release.
Suzuki’s electric scooter test mules resembled their ICE counterparts in appearance. Everything has been kept, from the bulbous front apron to the long, free-flowing tail section. The only difference is the white and blue dual-tone colour scheme, which isn’t found on regular scooters.
The Burgman Street electric’s technical specifications are unknown at this time. It will almost certainly be a direct competitor to the TVS iQube and the Bajaj Chetak. As a result, expect a battery range of 60-80 kilometres and a similar top speed. It could also have the same feature set as its competitors, such as Bluetooth connectivity for pairing with a smartphone. It’ll be interesting to see if it supports fast charging and battery swapping.
The Suzuki Burgman Street electric version is expected to cost around Rs1 lakh, possibly even less if it qualifies for the FAME II subsidy.
