Auto Desk, New Delhi. The Kushak mid-size SUV now comes in a new mid-spec variant from Skoda India. At a starting price of Rs 12.69 lakh, the new Skoda Kushak Ambition Classic variant has been launched (ex-showroom). It’s unique in that it falls somewhere between the base Active and the mid-spec Ambition models. The Kushaq Ambition Classic is only available with a 1.0-litre TSI engine and manual or automatic transmission.
The Skoda Kushaq’s Ambition Classic variant is the new second-base model in the SUV lineup. It sits in the middle of the Active and Ambition trim levels. While the feature list is nearly identical to that of the Ambition trim, it does not include automatic climate control or dual-tone seats. Instead, it gets new black suede upholstery with a honeycomb pattern and manual AC controls.
In terms of features, the new variant has chrome garnishing on the front bumper, doors, window lines, and tailgates, as well as several dual-tone shades to add to its premium appeal. A 10.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity is also included. The Skoda Kushaq Ambition Classic is powered by a 1.0-litre TSI engine that produces 113 horsepower. A 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission are available.
The top-of-the-line SUV also comes with a 148-horsepower 1.5-litre TSI engine mated to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG transmission. The manual version of the Skoda Kushak Ambition Classic costs Rs 12.69 lakh, while the automatic version costs Rs 14.09 lakh. In general, the SUV costs between Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 18.19 lakh ex-showroom, and the company will soon release a new Monte Carlo variant.
