Shashi Tharoor, a Congress MP, has now released images of himself in Parliament with male MPs, a day after social media users mocked him for posting a selfie with female MPs on November 29. We’ll get to his Monday post later because the focus of this article is on his savage retort to the uproar that followed his statement that the Lok Sabha is a “attractive place to work” while uploading a selfie with female MPs.

Shashi Tharoor posed with male MPs in the photos he published today, captioning them, “More comradeship in Parliament as MPs convene this morning, although no one expects these to go viral.” Despite the fact that I am an equal-opportunity offender!”

Here’s the gist of Shashi Tharoor’s viral post, which he shared on Monday as the Winter Session of Parliament began. Supriya Sule of Baramati, Preneet Kaur of Patiala, Thamizhachi Thangapandian of South Chennai, Mimi Chakraborty of Jadavpur, Nushrat Jahan of Basirhat, and S Jothimani of Karur posed for a selfie with Tharoor.

Twitter, on the other hand, was not impressed with his caption, which read, “Who says the Lok Sabha isn’t a lovely place to work?” This morning, I had breakfast with six of my fellow members of Parliament (sic).”

Shashi Tharoor’s remark was criticised on social media, with many labelling it “sexist” and “disrespectful.” Shashi Tharoor apologised in a fresh post after the uproar.

Twitter, on the other hand, does not forget and does not forgive. Tharoor was also on the receiving end of Twitter today, with some claiming that this latest tweet is nothing more than a “cover-up for yesterday’s catastrophe.”
“Please admit your error,” one of the users stated. Here’s another: “Come on, @ShashiTharoor, you can do it.” You must be aware that your previous tweet was at the very least misogynistic.”
