Sarfaraz Khan Hits Fourth Century Of Season Against MP; Celebrations Go Viral

In the current Ranji Trophy season, Sarfaraz also has a double-century to his credit, which he achieved in Mumbai’s opening match against Saurashtra.

On Thursday during the current Ranji Trophy season, Sarfaraz Khan scored his fourth century for Mumbai. In the championship game of the top first-class competition, Sarfaraz scored a century against Madhya Pradesh.

In the game’s opening innings, the 24-year-old made three figures off 190 balls. Sarfaraz reached his next fifty off just 38 balls after scoring a half-century earlier in the day off 152 balls.

In the ongoing Ranji Trophy final between Mumbai and Madhya Pradesh, Sarfaraz’s 134-run performance assisted Mumbai in scoring 374 runs overall. 13 boundaries and two sixes were part of his knock.

The final Mumbai batter to be struck out during the opening inning was Sarfaraz. Sarfaraz had three centuries and two half-centuries by the time of the match. With 937 runs in eight innings and an impressive average of 133.85, he currently holds the record for most runs scored in the tournament.

In the current Ranji Trophy season, Sarfaraz also has a double-century to his credit, which he achieved in Mumbai’s opening match against Saurashtra.

Then he scored 153 against Uttarkhand and 165 against Odisha. He also received ratings of 40, 59, and 50. Social media has gone viral after Sarfaraz celebrated his century against Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh vs. Mumbai

Mumbai won the toss and decided to bat first against Madhya Pradesh in the current Ranji Trophy final at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Mumbai scored 374 runs while batting first thanks to strong efforts from Prithvi Shaw, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Sarfaraz Khan.

Mumbai’s opening batsman Shaw scored 47 runs off 79 pitches, and the team’s number two batter Jaiswal hit 78 off 163 pitches. Anubhav Agarwal removed both batters from the game.

Before being removed by Kumar Kartikeya, Armaan Jaffer had amassed 26 points from 56 balls. Saransh Jain dismissed Suved Parkar for 18 off 30 balls. Before being dismissed by Gaurav Yadav, Sarfaraz had scored 134 runs off of 243 balls.

The other Mumbai players who contributed with the bat were Hardik Tamore, Shams Mulani, and Tanush Kotian. Anubhav Agarwal took three wickets, while Gaurav Yadav took four for Madhya Pradesh. While Kumar Kartikeya only took one, Saransh Jain took two wickets.
