An alert Railway Police constable saved the lifetime of a ten-year-old boy who fell on the tracks whereas alighting from a suburban prepare at Vasai Road station, the GRP mentioned on Wednesday.

The boy, whereas getting down from a Virar-bound native prepare, slipped and fell into the hole between the platform and the tracks, the Goverment Railway Police mentioned in a launch.
As the prepare stopped, constable AS Thanabeer, who was on obligation on the platform, rushed in and pulled out the boy and took him to a close-by hospital, the discharge mentioned.
The swift motion by the policeman saved the lifetime of the boy, who was admitted to the hospital for remedy, it mentioned.
