Punjab Recruitment: Ahead of the Assembly elections, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi approved the hiring of 10,880 people in the education department.
Punjab Recruitment 2021: Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi approved the filling of a total of 10,880 vacant vacancies in various cadres in the Education Department ahead of the Assembly elections, according to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) on Monday.
In light of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak and the health of students, Punjab’s chief minister urged his administration to hire up to 2000 physical education teachers across the province’s public schools. According to the Punjab Chief Minister’s directive, every community with a primary, middle, or high school will receive the services of a single physical education trainer.
According to an official release, CM Channi met with officials and several unions to discuss a number of concerns and asked that department to conduct a meeting after reviewing their demands, which might be taken up by the Finance Department. The Chief Minister granted a long-pending demand of roughly 1000 headmasters and teachers recruited under the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan by instructing the state finance department to disburse the state share of salaries that had been lowered due to the central government’s 2016 salary cap. It will cost the state exchequer roughly Rs 3.20 crore.
A total of 3400 positions in the health department have been approved for recruitment
Channi also approved the employment of 3,400 health department employees across Punjab in order to improve and strengthen the state’s healthcare system. The Punjab Chief Minister said that he would soon lay the foundation stones for medical institutions in Kapurthala and Hoshiarpur in order to improve medical education and research in the state. He also announced the creation of a new medical college in Sangrur, which will be totally supported by the government. Punjab Deputy Chief Minister O P Soni, Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal, Medical Education Minister Raj Kumar Verka, and Education Minister Pargat Singh were also in attendance at the meeting.
