The new Splendor Plus Xtec from Hero MotoCorp is priced at Rs 72,900. (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new model is around Rs 1,200 more expensive than the Matt Shield Gold variant. The new 2022 Hero Splendor Plus Xtec is identical to the regular model in terms of design and performance. A fully digital console with Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging port, real-time mileage readout, call and SMS alert, and side stand engine cutoff are among the new features.

Tornado Grey, Sparkling Beta Blue, Canvas Black, and Pearl White are the four color schemes available for the new 2022 Hero Splendor Plus Xtec. Its engine hasn’t been altered in any way. The new Xtec model is powered by the same 97.2cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 7.9bhp and 8.05Nm of torque. Hero’s i3S engine start/stop system has been added to the motor, which improves fuel efficiency.
The Splendor Plus has telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers in the front and 5-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers in the back. Its braking power is derived from 130mm front and rear drum brakes. Tubeless front and rear tyres are 80/100-18 M/C 47P and 80/100-18 M/C 54P, respectively. It measures 2000mm in length, 720mm in width, and 1052mm in height overall. It has a 785mm saddle height and a wheelbase of 1236mm. The fuel tank capacity of the Hero Splendor is 9.8 litres.

When it comes to Hero’s future plans, the company is preparing to launch its new VIDA EV brand into the electric two-wheeler market. On July 1, 2022, at Hero MotoCorp’s Green manufacturing plant in Chittoor, the company will unveil its first electric scooter. The new Hero electric scooter will begin shipping towards the end of this year. The Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1 and Simple One will all be competing against it.
