Poco is expected to launch its X4 smartphone lineup globally soon. Several certification websites around the world have featured one of its models. The Poco X4 5G moniker has now been confirmed, according to an alleged listing on a Malaysian certification website. The same device is thought to have been discovered on the website of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). For the time being, there has been no official word from Poco regarding the X4 lineup.
Mukul Sharma, a tipster, discovered the Poco X4 5G on a Malaysian certification site. According to the leak, the Xiaomi 2201116PG smartphone will be released as the Poco X4 5G in global markets. On the BIS website, the same device was spotted with the model number 2201116PI, indicating that it will be released in India soon. Abhishek Yadav, a tipster, also discovered the Xiaomi 2201116PG on the FCC certification site. The listing confirms that the smartphone, which is rumoured to be the Poco X4 5G, will run MIUI 13 and support NFC.
The upcoming Poco X4 5G could be a rebranded version of the Chinese Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G variant, according to a previous report. Poco has already launched the Poco M4 Pro 5G in China, which is the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 11. The Poco X4 5G is expected to follow the same path.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro is about to go global, with an official launch event scheduled for January 26. Its official release may shed some light on the Poco X4 5G’s capabilities. According to a recent leak, the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It’ll have a 6.67-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, according to rumours. The phone could have a quad-camera setup on the back, with the primary sensor measuring 108 megapixels.
