Lord Parshuram Jayanti, Lord Vishnu’s sixth incarnation, is observed annually on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the Vaishakh month. On this day, the festival of Akshaya Tritiya is observed. Parshuram Jayanti falls on 03 May 2022 this year. On this day, Lord Parashuram is ritually worshipped and processions are held. Although Lord Parashurama was born into a Brahmin family, he possessed the nature and qualities of a Kshatriya. According to Hinduism, there are seven such eternal gods who have existed on this planet for aeons. One of these is Lord Parashurama, Lord Vishnu’s sixth incarnation. Parashurama was a manifestation of the Hindu deity Vishnu. He was born prior to Lord Shri Ram’s birth. Lord Parashurama is believed to have been born in the first prahar of the day and night of Vaishakh Shukla Tritiya. Parashuram ji’s birth is considered to be during the sandhi period of Satyug and Treta. Parashuram ji, Lord Shiva’s supreme devotee, is revered as the god of justice.
Ganapathi, as well, was punished.
According to legend, even Ganesha could not evade Lord Parashurama’s wrath. According to the Brahmavaivarta Purana, Lord Ganesha once stopped Parashurama on his way to Mount Kailash to see Lord Shiva. Enraged by this, he used his axe to break a tooth of Lord Ganesha. As a result, Lord Ganesha became known as Ekadanta.
Be present in all epochs
The Ramayana and Mahabharata are the defining works of two epochs. The Ramayana occurred during the Tretayuga period, while the Mahabharata occurred during the Dwapar period. A Yuga, according to the Puranas, lasts millions of years. In such a situation, Lord Parshuram witnessed not only Shri Ram’s Leela but also the Mahabharata war.
Lord Krishna’s Chakra
When Parashuram ji became enraged after breaking the bow in Sita Swayamvar and conversing with Lakshmana during the Ramayana period, Lord Shri Ram handed over his Sudarshan Chakra to Parashuram ji. Lord Shri Krishna was returned to Dwapar Yuga by the same Sudarshan Chakra Parashuram ji.

Karna was cursed with this
Parashuram ji had also taught Karna and his grandfather Bhishma about weapons and weapons. Karna obtained an education by deceiving Lord Parashurama. When Parashuram ji learned of this, he cursed Karna, saying that he would forget the knowledge he had acquired through deception during times of war, and no one would be able to wield any weapon or weapon. This curse of Lord Parashurama ultimately resulted in Karna’s death.
21 times annihilated the Kshatriyas
Lord Parashurama was never known to become enraged for no reason. When Emperor Sahastrarjun’s atrocities and incest reached their zenith, Lord Parashurama punished him. When Lord Parashurama learned from his mother that the evil king Sahastrarjun, who destroyed the ashrams of sages and murdered them arbitrarily, set fire to his ashram and abducted Kamadhenu, he set fire to his ashram. He then vowed to rid the world of evil Kshatriyas. Following this, he assassinated Sahastrarjun, the Akshouhini army, and his hundred sons. 21 times, Lord Parashurama vanquished the evil Kshatriyas.
Lord Shiva bestowed Astra upon Parashu
Renuka was Lord Parashuram’s mother, and Jamadagni Rishi was his father. He was his parents’ fourth child. Three brothers predated Parashuram. He murdered his mother on his father’s orders. As a result, he felt the guilt of murdering his mother, which was removed after performing penance before Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva bestowed upon him the Parashu weapon for the benefit of the world of death, earning him the name Parashurama.
