OnePlus India teased the OnePlus 9RT and OnePlus Buds Z2 on January 2, 2022 in two tweets from its official Twitter account. Details can be found here.
OnePlus India teased the OnePlus 9RT recently, confirming the smartphone’s release in the country. OnePlus released the smartphone in October 2021, along with the OnePlus Buds Z2 truly wireless earphones, in its home market. The smartphone was first seen on the OnePlus Care App in November 2021, with the name OnePlus RT. However, with the launch of the OnePlus 9RT in India, older smartphones like the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9R, and OnePlus 8T may be phased out soon after.
On January 2, 2022, OnePlus India teased the upcoming products in two tweets from its official Twitter account. Both tweets contain Morse Code encoded messages, which is interesting. While several internet users used online decrypters to decode the message, the first tweet’s code refers to the OnePlus 9RT, while the second tweet’s code refers to the OnePlus Buds Z2. However, the company has only revealed this information and has not announced a launch date for the OnePlus 9RT 5G in India.
Specifications for the OnePlus 9RT
The OnePlus 9RT is equipped with a Samsung E4 AMOLED display with a 120Hz fast refresh rate. The Snapdragon 888 chipset, which is one of the fastest processors for mobile phones in the Android ecosystem, will power the smartphone on the inside. Both the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro run on the same chipset. In addition, the company has included LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage in the device, which comes in 128GB storage and 6 or 8GB RAM options.
The OnePlus 9RT has a battery capacity of 4,500 mAh, which should be sufficient for a typical day of use. A heavy user may need to charge the smartphone by the evening due to the device’s superior display and processor. Because the battery supports 65W fast charging, the smartphone is likely to come with a fast charger in the box. The OnePlus 9RT comes with a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP main sensor. Between the OnePlus 9R and the OnePlus 9, the new OnePlus device appears to fill the void.
