Nana Patole: MVA not in trouble as Congress calls Emergency meeting Led by Thorat

In the wake of reports that some Shiv Sena MLAs have gone rogue, Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole stated that the MVA government is in good shape.

While 26 legislators from Maharashtra’s ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), including Shiv Sena’s senior leader Eknath Shinde, were unable to be reached upon their arrival in Gujarat’s Surat, state Congress President Nana Patole insisted that the alliance was not in jeopardy. Following the results of the MLC elections, Shiv Sena MLAs, including sitting state ministers, went rogue.

According to sources, BJP has offered disgruntled Shiv Sena Minister Eknath Shinde a top position in exchange for helping the party reclaim power. In light of this, the State Congress has called an emergency meeting at Balasaheb Thorat’s home.

It’s worth noting that the State wing of Congress has called an emergency meeting in response to reports of MVA MLAs who have gone missing. Several senior Congress leaders are expected to arrive at the home of Balasaheb Thorat, where an emergency meeting has been called.

Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has called an emergency meeting amid political turmoil.

The MVA alliance partners – Congress, Shiv Sena, and NCP – have summoned all of their MLAs to Mumbai in an attempt to contain the political turmoil that has erupted as a result of reports that some Shiv Sena MLAs have rebelled.

According to the latest reports, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar has convened an emergency meeting of top Maha Vikas Aghadi leaders in the wake of the potential fallout.

The meeting comes after Maharashtra Minister Eknath Shinde, backed by 17 Shiv Sena MLAs, led a revolt against the state government. According to sources, 11 legislators have already arrived at the Le-Meridian Hotel in BJP-ruled Gujarat, and nine more are on their way to Surat.

Eknath Shinde, enraged by the Shiv Sena, is expected to address the media this afternoon from Surat. At 2 p.m. today, Maharashtra BJP President Chandrakant Patil is scheduled to hold a press conference.
