Kamal Haasan, the president of Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) and an actor, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the victims of the unfortunate IAF helicopter crash in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, on Wednesday afternoon. According to a recent report by ANI citing sources, 13 of the 14 passengers on board died as a result of their injuries.

Kamal Haasan sends his condolences to the victims of the IAF Chopper crash in Tamil Nadu.
“The helicopter carrying Army officials, including Chief of the Defence Staff Bipin Rawat, crashed in the Coonoor hills,” the actor wrote in Tamil in response to the tragic incident. My heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and friends.”

An Indian Air Force helicopter carrying Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat crashed near Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, on Wednesday, in a tragic accident. According to ANI, which cited sources, 13 of the 14 passengers onboard died as a result of the crash. At the scene of the accident, a rescue operation is underway.

The Indian Air Force has issued a directive to investigate the cause of the Indian Air Force helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday. The army helicopter that crashed in upper Coonoor in the Nilgiris district was carrying several senior officials, including Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat.

In a tweet, the IAF stated that an investigation has been ordered to determine the cause of the accident, and that rescue operations to recover those aboard the IAF Mi-17V5 helicopter are underway.

In Tamil Nadu, an IAF chopper carrying CDS Rawat crashes

A total of 14 people were on board the Mi-17 V5 helicopter, four of whom are said to have died and others who have suffered serious injuries. CDS Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat, Defence Assistant to CDS Brigadier LS Lidder, SO to CDS Lt. Col. Harjinder Singh, Naik Gursewak Singh, Naik Jitendra Kumar, Lance Naik Gursewak Singh, Lance Naik Jitendra Kumar, Lance Naik Gursewak Singh, Lance Naik Jitendra Kumar, Lance Naik Jitendra Kumar, Lance Nai Havaldar Satpal, Lance Naik B Sai Teja, and Naik Vivek Kumar

Local military officers have already arrived at the various locations. Two bodies with 80 percent burns have already been taken to local hospitals, according to local reports. In addition, more bodies are said to be downhill in the accident area, and efforts are underway to recover the bodies and determine their identities.
