MG Motor: MG Motor India Becomes First Passenger Car Company To Adopt Wind Solar Hybrid Energy

MG Motor India (MG Motor India) has partnered with Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Pvt Ltd (CleanMax) (CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions Pvt Ltd), Asia’s most trusted sustainability partner. The partnership is to provide 4.85 MW of wind-solar hybrid power to MG’s manufacturing plant in Halol. With this partnership, MG will reduce about 2 lakh MT of carbon-di-oxide in 15 years, which will be equivalent to planting more than 13 lakh trees.

Cleanmax’s vision for a sustainable future is in sync with MG’s commitment. The carmaker has been at the forefront of promoting EV adoption in India with the launch of India’s first pure electric internet SUV MG ZS EV. The electric SUV was launched along with the ‘Change What You Can’ initiative, which encouraged people to switch to zero-emission vehicles.

CleanMax is the first renewable energy company to set up a wind solar hybrid park in Gujarat for the sale of clean energy to private consumers and corporates. Its plan is to increase it to 150 MW by the year 2022. MG’s Halol facility will start drawing power from Cleanmax’s Hybrid Park at Rajkot in February 2022 and will continue for 15 years.

We enable them to operate by meeting 50% of their power requirement from our hybrid farm. will significantly reduce the cost of living and at the same time their carbon-di-oxide emissions will also be effectively reduced.

As part of our solution to MGI, they will leverage these benefits with minimal risk and hassle, as the entire capex and operations are generated by CleanMax. Unlike solar or wind power, wind solar hybrid power supplies electricity round the clock, so that a large percentage of consumers’ daily electricity needs can be met from renewable energy.”
