As we mentioned before, this is a novelty vehicle and is a perfect fit as one’s second or even third vehicle. So, the price MG Comet commands are discreetly for its convenience. If that is the case, MG Comet lacks automatic climate control, ADAS suite for adaptive cruise control (something which Ola scooters are getting too) and maybe a sunroof.

MG is offering a 17.3 kWh IP67-rated battery. There is a single-motor architecture driving the front wheels. This motor kicks out 42 bhp of power and 110 Nm of torque. Considering that EVs have instant acceleration and MG Comet only weighs 815 kg with all the bells and whistles, performance should be brisk (for city commutes).

Top speed is over 100 km/h and MG is offering three drive modes namely Eco, Normal and Sports. Claimed range is 230 km and 200 km of real-world range is likely as most driving falls in city limits with regen. Speaking of regen, MG offers adjustable regen, which both its rivals Tata Tiago EV and Citroen eC3 lack. That said, regen can only be adjusted with the touchscreen.

Freebies to make ownership better
