May 2022 Mahindra Sales Breakdown – Bolero, XUV700, Scorpio, Thar

In May 2022, Mahindra reported a 224% year-over-year and 20% month-over-month growth in sales to 26,650 vehicles.

After Maruti, Tata Motors, and Hyundai, Mahindra was the fourth largest OEM in terms of sales in May 2022. Mahindra, like every other automaker in India, has shown remarkable YoY sales growth, however it should be noted that sales in May 2021 are not the accurate benchmark because it was during that month that the country was hit by the second wave of the epidemic. Plant closures resulted in a loss of production, and buyer confidence was at an all-time low.

Mahindra’s sales grew by 224% YoY in the last month, to 26,650 units, up from 7,748 in May 2021. Sales increased by 20% month over month in April 2021, when 22,169 units were sold.

May 2022 Mahindra Sales Breakup – Bolero at No. 1

In response to the high demand for the Bolero, Mahindra is preparing to launch the Neo Plus, a long-wheelbase version of the Bolero Neo. It will be released in the next weeks.

The Mahindra XUV700 was next in line, with 5,069 units sold in the previous month. This represents a 13% increase in sales over the 4,494 units sold in April 2022. The XUV700 continues to receive between 8 and 10 thousand bookings each month. The wait time varies from 4 months to 2 years, depending on the version, as Mahindra continues to face a semiconductor chip shortage.

The XUV300 came in third, with a YoY increase of 1901% to 5,022 units sold in May 2022, up from 251 units sold in May 2021. In April 2021, sales grew by 28% over the 3,909 units sold the previous month.
