The Maruti WagonR flex-fuel hatchback made its public appearance earlier this year at the Delhi Auto Expo. The company had revealed that it is all set to roll out flex-fuel vehicles. But until such fuels are not easily available across the country, it will be difficult to produce them commercially. The company is aiming to introduce the flex-fuel program by 2025.

Let us tell you, the WagonR flex fuel hatchback has been designed and developed by Maruti Suzuki’s in-house engineering team with inputs from Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan. At the same time, it will be India’s first mass-market flex fuel vehicle that will run on any ethanol-petrol blend between 20 percent (E20) – 85 percent (E85). According to media reports, the company will start production of flex fuel WagonR from 2025.

The car gets an updated engine management system, fuel injectors and fuel pump setup
