Malik is a Malayalam-language crime thriller film directed, written and edited by Mahesh Narayanan while produced by Anto Joseph under the banner of Anto Joseph Film Company. Fahadh Faasil plays the role of Suleiman Malik, starring Nimisha Sajayan and Vinay Fort in lead roles, while Joju George, Dilesh Pothan and Indran are in co-supporting roles.
The film revolves around the life of Suleman Malik, spanning from his childhood to middle age, where he has risen to prominence among the people living in the coastal areas in the fight against political corruption in the region. The film is based on real-life incidents about the rise in land acquisition cases, especially in the coastal region.
Malik was earlier slated to release theatrically but was postponed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It later opted for a digital release via Amazon Prime Video on Thursday, 15 July 2021.
