Malavika Mohanan responds to her ‘porn’ online photo: ‘Please help and if you see it’

Malavika Mohanan has expressed her displeasure with the media’s use of her photoshopped image. If the photoshop image is used online, she has asked her fans to report it.

Malavika Mohanan, who was most recently seen in the Tamil film Master, has reacted to a ‘vulgar’ photoshopped image of herself that has been circulated by a number of people and the media. She called the use of the photo without a fact check “cheap journalism.”

Malavika expressed her dissatisfaction on Twitter. “This is a photo of mine from a few months ago that someone has photoshopped and turned into a fake vulgar one,” she wrote. That has been widely circulated, including by media outlets such as @AsianetNewsTM, which is simply cheap journalism. Please assist and report (sic) if you see the fake one.”

Last year, Malavika made her Tamil debut in Rajinikanth’s Petta. She recently wrapped work on Dhanush’s Tamil film Maaran. On Disney+ Hotstar, it will have a direct premiere. Dhanush plays a journalist in the film, which is directed by Karthick Naren.

“I’ve seen people who do films just to keep the momentum,” Malavika, who co-starred with Ishaan Khatter in the 2017 film Beyond The Clouds, told Hindustan Times in an interview last year. Following Beyond The Clouds, I was approached by a slew of films that any other newcomer would be thrilled to be a part of. I, for one, don’t feel compelled to participate in a project unless my intuition tells me to.”
