Few of them are also wondering if this is another sonic boom because this loud explosion-like sound has made their windows and doors rattle.

One of the users said that they first heard a loud sound and then the doors and windows of the house vibrated. Another user asked if this sound is really a sonic boom that was heard last year too in Bangalore.

As per tweets by Bengaluru citizens, the sound was heard in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Banashankari, Kengeri, Vijaynagar, Uttarahalli, and some surrounding areas in Bengaluru south. A couple of users also shared that they had felt some slight tremors as well.

This is not the first time Bangalore has witnessed this type of incident. The city had witnessed a similar incident this year in July where the residents of Sarjapur, JP Nagar, Benson Town, Cooke Town, Vivek Nagar, Ramamurthy Nagar, and nearby areas heard a loud ‘thud’ and a ‘boom’ sound.

There were speculations that the loud sound is due to the fighter jet flying over the city, however, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has confirmed that none of its flights made the noise.
