Yamaha has announced the arrival of the new Jupiter 135L in Malaysia’s market. The new Jupiter 135L is a scooter with an underbone design that is not to be confused with the TVS Jupiter sold in India. The yearly updated model incorporates a number of improvements over its predecessor.

The new bodywork on the 2022 Jupiter 135LC gives it a sportier appearance. A new handlebar-mounted headlamp, apron-mounted turn indicators, and tail lamp have been added. A fully digital LCD display with a rpm metre is also included on the scooter. It does, however, lack Bluetooth connectivity. A USB charger, a front storage compartment, and a 4.6-liter fuel tank are among the scooter’s other notable features.

With the most recent update, the scooter’s 135cc engine has been tweaked to meet new emission regulations. The scooter’s previous carbureted setup has been replaced with fuel injection in order to achieve this. The scooter’s maximum power output and torque are both 12 bhp and 12.2 Nm. It’s worth noting that this year’s output is slightly higher than the previous year’s.

Yamaha has also added higher-end features to the scooter, such as a rear disc brake. The scooter now has disc brakes on both ends. The scooter is equipped with telescopic forks and a monoshock for suspension. The scooter is relatively light, weighing only 109 kilogrammes.

In Malaysia, the Yamaha Jupiter 135LC costs RM 7798 (approximately Rs. 1.43 lakh). Because there is no demand for underbone scooters in India, it is highly unlikely to be launched there.
