About RC 390 2022
In India, the KTM RC 390 is expected to debut in May 2022, with a price range of 280,000 to 290,000. KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 300, and Kawasaki Z650 are currently available bikes that are similar to RC 390 . CFMoto 300SR, which will debut in India in October 2022, is another bike that is similar to the RC 390 .
The all-new KTM RC 390 has been unveiled for the international market, and the latest model has received a significant cosmetic upgrade over its predecessor. In terms of design, the new model has a redesigned front fascia with a single-pod LED headlight that replaces the old model’s projector-style units. Fairing-mounted rear-view mirrors and an updated turn indicator setup are also included in the front.
KTM claims that the new setup has been optimised for better wind and weather protection, and the fairing has a sharper design. It also uses a combination of inner and outer body panels to improve heat management. A 13.7-litre fuel tank, a redesigned tail section, a new seat design, and a side-slung exhaust are among the other enhancements to the 2022 model. Stainless steel header pipes and an aluminium muffler complete the new exhaust system.
Lighter wheels and brakes are among the new model’s weight-saving features. The new wheels are said to be 3.4 kilogrammes lighter than the previous generation. Furthermore, the revised frame and new ByBre braking system are said to save 960 grammes and 1.5 kilogrammes, respectively.
The 2022 KTM RC 390 is available in two colour schemes internationally. The single-tone version is orange, while the dual-tone version is a mix of blue and orange. On the fairing, KTM branding and RC390 decals can be seen.
Switchable ABS, a lean-angle sensitive cornering ABS, and a cornering traction control system are all standard features on the 2022 KTM RC 390. Full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT display are included as standard features, with a Quickshifter+ available as an add-on.
The hardware has also been upgraded, with 43mm WP APEX split functionality and open cartridge forks on the international-spec 2022 RC 390. These front forks have 30 compression clicks on the left fork and 30 rebound clicks on the right fork. The preload on the rear monoshock can be adjusted. The suspension adjustability function may be missing from the India-spec model. It may, however, come standard with the Quickshifter+. At the front, a 320mm single disc brake with a radially mounted four-piston fixed ByBre calliper is used, while the rear has a 230mm disc brake with a single-piston fixed calliper.
The 373cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine remains in the mechanical specifications. The 2022 model, on the other hand, benefits from new engine mapping and a redesigned airbox, allowing it to produce more torque than before. The updated model produces 42.9bhp and 37Nm of peak torque when connected to a six-speed gearbox.
