The new Kawasaki Z650RS 50th Anniversary Edition motorcycle will be released in India soon. The company made the latest announcement via its social media platforms.
The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer already sells the base Z650RS in India, so the special Anniversary Edition is being brought to the country.
The Anniversary Edition of the Z900RS is also available internationally, but it has yet to be announced for India.
In India, Kawasaki 50th Anniversary Edition motorcycles are expected to be available in limited quantities. It would mark the 50th anniversary of the legendary Z1 motorcycle from the company.
The model is expected to receive some significant styling changes, including a special ‘Firecracker Red’ paint scheme.
The dual-tone, red and black paints on the motorcycle will be introduced with this option. Furthermore, the use of golden-colored rims will enhance the overall styling. To be clear, the Candy Emerald Green paint options available in India already include golden-colored alloys.
The rest of the details, aside from the mechanical changes, are likely to remain the same. The motorcycle will keep the same BS 6-compliant 649cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, which is capable of producing 67.3bhp of maximum power at 8,000rpm and 64Nm of peak torque at 6,700rpm.
In terms of pricing, the new special edition model will be slightly more expensive than the standard model. It will most likely cost around 7 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
