A serious tragedy has been averted earlier than Independence Day, stated Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar stated on Friday after a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist was killed throughout an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam.

On Thursday, two safety personnel and two civilians have been injured in firing by LeT terrorists throughout an encounter in Kulgam.
According to the IGP, terrorists opened fireplace upon a BSF convoy in Kulgam earlier within the day.
“Senior officers of police, CRPF and Army were present at the spot when the terrorists opened fire,” the IGP had stated.
