Just as the entertainment industry was beginning to recover from the pandemic, the third wave of COVID-19 strikes again. The virus has been found in a number of actors and actresses. The latest to test positive are John Abraham and his wife Priya Runchal.
On Monday, the Bollywood actor revealed on Twitter that he had come into contact with someone who was COVID positive three days prior and had mild symptoms. They have been placed under home quarantine after testing positive for the virus.
“I came in contact 3 days ago with someone who I later learned had covid,” John Abraham wrote on Instagram. Covid has been found in both Priya and me. We’ve been quarantined at home and haven’t spoken to anyone else; we’ve both been vaccinated and are only experiencing mild symptoms. Please continue to be well and healthy. “Put on your mask.”
On the work front, John was most recently seen in Divya Khosla Kumar’s ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’. He appeared in three roles in the film, which was billed as a follow-up to Milap Zaveri’s 2018 film Satyameva Jayate.
The next film starring John Abraham is Attack. The star will play a supercop whose sole mission is to protect Indian soil from terrorist threats in the film. Apart from him, Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh play important roles in the film.
Lakshya Raj Anand wrote and directed the film, which will be released in theatres on January 26. John will also star alongside Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria in ‘Ek Villain Returns.’ On July 8, 2022, the film is set to hit theatres.
