Jharkhand Government Announces Rs 50,000 Ex-gratia For COVID-19 Victim’s Families

The state government of Jharkhand has announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs 50,000 to kin of COVID-19 victims.
The Jharkhand government announced an ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 each for the kin of the 5,133 people who died of COVID-19 in the state on Wednesday, according to Health and Disaster Management Minister Banna Gupta.
According to Gupta, Rs 25.26 crore will be transferred to the deceased’s kin’s accounts.
According to a statement from the Health Minister’s office, “the Deputy Commissioners of all 24 districts have been asked to ensure its distribution.”

“We cannot compensate the death caused by the global pandemic,” Gupta said in a directive, “but we stand alongside the families of those who lost their members.” Family members of the victims can apply online or offline, according to the minister.
