Infinix Zero 5G Launches in India As First 5G Phone: Price, Specs

The sole 8GB + 128GB storage edition of the Infinix Zero 5G costs Rs. 19,999 in India.
Infinix Zero 5G, the company’s first 5G smartphone, was released in India on Monday. The new Infinix phone is available in two colours and features a hole-punch display. The Infinix Zero 5G has a 6.78-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a triple rear camera system with a 48-megapixel main sensor at the centre. The MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset powers the Infinix Zero 5G. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage in a single configuration. The Infinix Zero 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W rapid charging.

Infinix Zero 5G pricing and availability in India

The 8GB + 128GB storage option of the Infinix Zero 5G is priced at Rs. 19,999. Starting February 18, the phone will be available for purchase on Flipkart in the colours Cosmic Black and Skylight Orange.

Customers may get Infinix Snokor (iRocker) wireless earphones for Rs. 1 (originally Rs. 999) after seven days of purchasing the new phone from Infinix and Flipkart. Flipkart is also giving no-cost EMIs on the smartphone, starting at Rs. 1,667. For transactions made with Citi Bank cards, it is also offering an instant discount of up to Rs. 750. In addition, for an extra Rs. 99, interested purchasers can get Flipkart’s Smart Upgrade on the Infinix Zero 5G.

5G characteristics for the Infinix Zero

The Android 11-based XOS 10 runs on the dual-SIM (Nano) Infinix Zero 5G. Infinix’s first 5G phone features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ IPS LTPS (1,080×2,460 pixels) display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 500 nits of peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also has a 20.5:9 aspect ratio.

The MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC is combined with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage in the Infinix Zero 5G. The device has the ability to install an extra 5GB of virtual RAM.

Infinix has equipped the Infinix Zero 5G with a triple back camera configuration, headlined by a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens. A 13-megapixel portrait camera with 2x optical and 30x digital zoom, as well as a 2-megapixel depth sensor, round out the camera system. Slow Motion, Super Night Mode, and 4K video recording at 30 frames per second are all available with the back camera, which is combined with a quad-LED flash. For selfies and video chats, the Infinix Zero 5G has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 lens and dual LED light, according to the manufacturer.

A microSD card can be used to enhance the internal storage of the Infinix Zero 5G up to 256GB. The phone has 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5, GPS, OTG, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port for connectivity. Ambient light sensor, light sensor, barometer, gyroscope, g-sensor, e-compass, and proximity sensor are all included in the phone. The new Infinix phone also has a fingerprint sensor for authentication.

On the new Infinix Zero 5G, the manufacturer has included a 5,000mAh battery. It also has a 33W quick charging capability. In addition, the smartphone boasts dual speakers that support DTS surround sound. The smartphone is 168.7376.538.77mm in length and 199 grammes in weight.
