India will Soon Receive a New Variant of The Mahindra XUV300

The exterior of the Mahindra XUV300 Sportz could be enhanced with new body decals and Sportz badging all over.

The Mahindra XUV300 is likely to get a new variant in the near future. The company intends to launch the XUV300 in the new ‘Sportz’ trim, which is expected to hit the market in the coming weeks. The same model was shown at Auto Expo 2020 and has now been leaked in a document that has surfaced online, indicating that it will be released soon.

According to the leaked document, the XUV300 Sportz edition’s power output will be 128bhp, and the vehicle will be available in four different variants: W4, W6, W8, and W8 (O). It will almost certainly be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which was also on display at the previous event. The engine will be paired with a six-speed manual transmission.

If the upcoming model is based on the XUV300 Sportz shown earlier, the exterior features could include body decals and ‘Sportz’ badging all over. The interior of the cabin could be completely blacked out, with red inserts on the dashboard, center console, and steering wheel.

Sportier trims of sub-compact SUVs already available in India, such as the Hyundai Venue 1.0 Turbo and Kia Sonet 1.0 Turbo, will compete with the Mahindra XUV300 Sportz. The car currently comes with two powertrain options: a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, as well as manual and automatic transmission options.
