Rodrigues managed, and Harmanpreet-Shefali scored well

After losing two wickets early on in hot and humid conditions, the pressure on the team was evident. Shefali and Harmanpreet Verma handled this delicate situation together. The third player to be dismissed was Shefali (31 runs), who was caught by Atapattu while attempting to play a big shot. The skipper Harmanpreet (22) was out LBW in the eleventh over by the spinner Inoka Ranaveera, demonstrating how well the Sri Lankan bowlers bowled to ensure they got a big wicket early. Richa Ghosh (11), a wicketkeeper-batsman, and Pooja Vastrakar (14), a visitor, fell to Ranaveera’s two additional wickets, bringing his total to six in the visitors’ 17 overs with a score of just 106 runs. Rodrigues assumed responsibility for leading India to a respectable result after rejoining the team. Rodrigues, who batted fifth, did not feel pressured and contributed significant runs to the team. At the other end, Deepti Sharma added 17 runs in eight balls after he hit three fours and a six.
