In Karnataka, more than 41,000 cases in 24 hours as well as the cases of Covid are increasing

BENGALURU: In the last twenty-four hours, the state of Karnataka has logged 41,457 new Covid-19 cases in a single day jump.

Dr. Sudhakar K, Karnataka’s minister for Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education, said on Twitter that the state’s positivity rate is now 22.30 percent.

The Karnataka Health Minister also stated that in the last twenty-four hours, the capital city of Bengaluru had reported 25,595 new Covid-19 cases.

In the past one day, 8,353 people in the state recovered from the novel coronavirus and were discharged from hospitals.

Tuesday’s addition brought the total number of active cases in the state to 2,50,381, with only 178000 in Bengaluru.

Bengaluru, India’s IT capital, reported seven Covid-related deaths in a single day. Karnataka has reported 20 Covid deaths in the last 24 hours, including those in Bengaluru.

The state has also conducted 1,85,872 in the past one day.

“The number of cases has increased by 250 percent week over week, to around 22000.” Only 1.3 percent of all active cases are currently in hospitals, indicating that hospitalizations are still rare. Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, a news agency, quoted Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike as saying, “Less than 0.5 percent are on critical beds.”

Bengaluru’s case load, which had accounted for about 75 percent of Karnataka’s case load for the previous two weeks, had dropped below 68 percent in the last twenty-four hours, according to the state health minister on 15 January.
