WardWizard Innovations and Mobility reported a 2,963 percent year-over-year increase from January 2021 to January 2022.

WardWizard Innovations and Mobility, the maker of the Joy e-bike electric two-wheeler brand, announced that 3,951 units of EVs were sold in January 2022.

The company also stated that sales of electric vehicles increased by 2,963 percent year over year in January 2021 compared to the same month last year, when only 129 units were sold.

In terms of year-to-date (YTD) performance in 2021-22, the company has sold over 21,000 electric two-wheelers (21,327 units). It also aims to reach 30,000 units by the end of this fiscal year.

“We are overwhelmed at the success of our current market expansion strategies and elated to have won the trust of our consumers by living up to their expectations through the sheer impact of our product quality and services,” said Sheetal Bhalerao, Chief Operations Officer, WardWizard Innovations and Mobility Ltd, in response to the positive sales performance for January 2022.”

While sales of electric two-wheelers have increased significantly in recent months, traditional ICE vehicles (bikes and scooters) appear to be struggling. Sales of major automakers such as Hero MotoCorp, Royal Enfield, and HMSI have decreased significantly. Only Suzuki Motorcycle India, on the other hand, saw an increase in overall sales of 8% last month.
