Hyundai Tucson will be Launched in India in The Second Half of 2022

Hyundai has confirmed that the new Tucson, which is already on the market in North America and Europe, will arrive in India in the second half of 2022.

Hyundai has revealed that the fourth-generation Tucson SUV will arrive in India in the second half of 2022. The Tucson will be positioned above the Alcazar in Hyundai’s lineup, and will compete against the Jeep Compass, Citroen C5 Aircross, and Volkswagen Tiguan, just as it is now.

The new Hyundai Tucson features a radical new design language, with elements such as the LED daytime running lights blending seamlessly with the front grille. The new Tucson’s exteriors are certainly striking, and this design language is expected to filter down to its smaller siblings, such as the Venue and Creta, once their facelifted versions arrive. The European version has a 2,680mm wheelbase, whereas the North American version has a 2,756mm wheelbase. Hyundai is expected to bring the latter to India, where the extra legroom in the second row will appeal to those looking to hire a chauffeur.

The cabin, too, is ultra-modern, with a digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch central infotainment display. While the new Hyundai Tucson’s exact specifications and features have yet to be confirmed, it is expected to include advanced driver assistance or ADAS features.

The Tucson’s engine options are likely to remain unchanged, with 2.0-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engines. While that has yet to be confirmed, it is certain that there will be both petrol and diesel variants, with manual and automatic transmission options, as well as an AWD variant. It will be Hyundai’s flagship ICE vehicle once it is released. We say ICE because the Hyundai Ioniq 5 crossover will be available in India in 2022, and it will be more expensive than the Tucson.
