Hyundai Exter full of bold features will soon be seen on the roads, will become the queen of auto sector with looks and safety features, Tata Punch SUV is currently leading the market in the micro SUV segment. Tata Punch has been around for one and a half years and till now around 2 lakh units of this car have been sold. Currently this SUV is one of the bestselling models in the country. Now Hyundai is preparing to bring its product in the micro SUV segment to compete with the Punch.

Hyundai’s Exter micro SUV will soon be available in the market. Hyundai is going to announce the prices of its micro SUV Exter soon on 10th July. This will be the cheapest SUV that is going to be included in the company’s line-up. The bookings for this car have already started and customers can book for just Rs.11,000.

Hyundai Exter Engine & Power

The Hyundai Exter will be powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which is also available in the Grand i10 Nios and some other Hyundai cars. This engine generates maximum power of 82 bhp and peak torque of 113 Nm. It has been given the option of 5-speed manual gearbox and AMT. CNG option will also be available in the SUV.

Hyundai Exter Features

The new micro SUV from Hyundai will come with several segment-first features and will include luxurious features like electric sunroof, touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, dashcam with dual cameras. It will be the first sub-compact SUV to offer 6 airbags as standard across all variants. Apart from this, other features like ESC, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Assist Control will also be available in this micro SUV.

Hyundai Exter Variants and Price

Hyundai Exter will be launched in the market in EX, S, SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect variants. It will be the cheapest SUV from Hyundai and prices are expected to start from around Rs. 6 lakh (ex-showroom). Its simple competition will be from cars like Tata Punch, Citroen C3, Nissan Magnite which are already very popular in the market.
