Hyundai Creta N Line is Teased Prior to Its Global Launch

Hyundai Creta Sport is a sportier version of the Hyundai Creta that will first go on sale in South America, with India as a possible destination.

While the Venue facelift and Venue N Line are set to debut in India next month, Hyundai has already begun teasing the new Creta N Line in other markets. The Creta’s sportier version will be available first in South America, with a chance of making it to our shores as well.

Hyundai Creta N Line: The Creta N Line is based on The Current Creta

The Creta N Line will most likely first be available in the South American market. Hyundai Brazil teased the SUV on social media, and while not much was revealed, the N Line badge on the grille was confirmed. It’s also been confirmed that the Creta N Line will be based on the pre-facelift version of the Creta sold in South America, Russia, and markets like India, rather than the facelifted Creta sold in Indonesia.

Patent images leaked earlier this year confirm this development and give us a hint as to what the Creta N Line will look like. The Creta N Line, like other N Line models sold overseas and the i20 N Line sold in India, will be more of a cosmetic update. The front bumper appears to be much taller, with the typical Hyundai N chequered flag design for the inserts; the same theme is carried over to the rear bumper, which receives the same treatment. The front grille is a little smaller and looks a lot like the new Tucson (which will be available in India soon) and the facelifted Creta that is currently on sale in Indonesia. Apart from these cosmetic changes, the Creta N Line will get new alloy wheels, a N Line steering wheel, unique N Line specific upholstery with red stitching, and aluminum paddles, among other things.

The Creta N Line, like the rest of Hyundai’s N Line lineup, is unlikely to receive any upgrades under the hood. In South America, the SUV is available with a 2.0-liter petrol engine, which is the same as the one found in the Alcazar here. The Creta N Line is likely to get the same engine and transmission options as the standard SUV in that market.

Hyundai has Unveiled Its N Line Lineup for India

Hyundai debuted the N Line sub-brand in India with the latest-generation i20, and the company is reportedly planning to launch its first N Line badged SUV in the country next month, based on the upcoming Venue facelift. In terms of the Creta N Line, the new SUV will make its global debut in Brazil next month. While there is no official confirmation of an India launch, we believe the Creta N Line will arrive in India at some point in the future.
