Hungama 2 is a 2021 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed by Priyadarshan and collectively produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain, Chetan Jain and Armaan Ventures. It is primarily based on the director’s personal 1994 Malayalam film Minnaram and the non-secular successor to the 2003 film Hungama. The film stars Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty, Meezaan Jaffrey and Pranitha Subhash. Hungama 2 marks the return of Priyadarshan and Shilpa Shetty to Bollywood after eight years and 14 years respectively.
The film marks Priyadarshan’s return to Bollywood after a hiatus of eight years since Rangrez (2013). It is not a sequel to Hungama (2003), to which Priyadarshan said, “We have titled the brand new comedy Hungama 2 because of the nature of fun, mischief and Hungama and Hungama remains unchanged.” It also marks the return of Shilpa Shetty for the first time in 14 years after her.

Main images began on 8 January 2020 in Mumbai.[8] The film was initially scheduled for a theatrical launch in India on 14 August 2020.[9] Nonetheless, the production was halted in India due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
