The price of a Hero bike starts at Rs. 52,256. In India, Hero offers 15 new models, with the Splendor Plus, HF Deluxe, and Glamour being the most popular. Hero’s upcoming bikes include the Leap Hybrid SES and the XF3R. The Xpulse 200 4V is the most expensive Hero bike, costing Rs. 1,32,430.

With headquarters in New Delhi, Hero MotoCorp is the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer. Hero MotoCorp is India’s number one two-wheeler company, with a market share of more than 40% in the Indian two-wheeler market. Hero was founded by Brijmohan Lall Munjal and began as a joint venture with Honda. However, the successful alliance (Hero Honda) ended in 2010, and the two companies became major competitors.

Hero MotoCorp has four manufacturing facilities in Haryana (Dharuhera, Neemrana, and Gurgaon) and Uttarakhand (Hridwar). The combined capacity of these plants is 7.6 million 2-wheelers per year. The company’s 249-acre research and development facility is located on the outskirts of Jaipur. Hero MotoCorp has managed to penetrate most of India’s rural areas as well as metros, with over 6,000 dealerships across the country.

The company now sells a wide range of motorcycles and scooters in various segments, starting with the 100cc Splendor and progressing to the 223cc Karizmas. There are also a few Hero scooters, such as the Maestro Edge, Duet, and Pleasure.

In the coming years, electric scooters will make up a significant portion of Hero’s new product launches. Hero MotoCorp is also focusing on green technologies, as evidenced by the introduction of the Leap scooter, Duet E, and ioN at the last two Auto Expos. Currently, the company is aiming to sell 20 million vehicles globally by 2020.
