‘Gurudwara Circuit Train’ To Be Launched By Indian Railways For Sikh Pilgrimage Sites Across India

In India, Indian Railways is planning to launch a circuit train dedicated to Sikh pilgrimage. “Gurudwara Circuit Train” will be the name of the train.

In India, the Indian Railways are planning to launch a circuit train dedicated to Sikh pilgrimage. The train will be known as the “Gurudwara Circuit Train” and will transport Sikh pilgrims to their pilgrimage sites.

According to ANI, the Indian Railways intends to run the train from Amritsar’s Gurdwara Harminder Sahib to Delhi’s Gurdwara Damdama Sahib, Nanded’s Gurdwara Huzur Sahib, and Patna’s Gurdwara Patna Sahib.

To promote Sikh pilgrimage, Indian Railways will launch the Gurudwara Circuit Train.

It is expected that the pilgrimage will take 11 days to complete. The train will have both AC and sleeper coaches, according to ANI. The fare and other details for the Gurudwara Circuit Special train are being finalised and will be made available to the public soon. In the special circuit train, a pantry car will be built to provide hot food throughout the tour. In addition, sources close to the Ministry of Railways told ANI that the Railways has been working on a number of projects aimed at educating the general public about the country’s cultural and religious heritage for the past few years.

The special gesture made by the Indian Railways, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and overseen by Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, has been widely praised. Dharmendra Pradhan, Hardeep Singh Puri, and Piyush Goyal, among others, praised the gesture and said it was the PM’s special gift to the Sikh community.

Tourist Train to the Ramayana and Buddhist Circuits

Previously, Indian Railways had already embarked on the ‘Ramayana Circuit’ and the ‘Buddhist Circuit,’ which are trains dedicated to the Ramayan and the life of Buddha. The Ramayana Circuit train will run from Ayodhya to Rameswaram, stopping at every Ramayana-related location. Similarly, the Buddhist Circuit train will depart from Delhi and stop at tourist destinations such as Nalanda, Sravasti, Varanasi, and Agra.

According to ANI sources, a plan to launch the ‘Gandhi Circuit Special Train’ in the near future to raise awareness of Mahatma Gandhi’s life and philosophy may be in the works. According to sources, the railways are preparing 4000 to 5000 rail coaches, which will be leased to private operators for a minimum of 5 years under strict conditions. The operator will be in charge of maintaining the railway coaches during this time, while the Railways will be in charge of the operation’s maintenance. According to sources, approximately 50 operators have expressed interest in taking part in the Railways’ ambitious special circuit initiative.
